Course Prerequisites
All of our courses have some sort of prerequisite. It is very important to make sure to read the prerequisite before signing up for any course.
Age requirements vary from course to course please. Refer to the individual course for more details on age requirements.
Liability Releases
All Liability releases must be signed and turned in before any training begins.
All minors must have a Parent or Guardian signature. No Exceptions.
You must print and bring your liability releases to your first class or you will not be able to participate. No Exceptions thank you
Note: you may be charged a reschedule fee if you do not have all your liability releases printed and completed.
Certification Process
SCUBA courses are performance-based, each student must complete all sections and all performance requirements for their class i.e. (academics, confined water training and open water training dives) in order to earn certification. Once the student receives their confirmation e-mail their course will begin and you are an active student.
Academics
Home Study Watch the PADI videos. Complete all knowledge reviews in the PADI manual. Take the quiz. Complete the PADI exams with 75% or better
Mandatory PADI Academic Materials
You will need to purchase from us the required PADI academic materials and safety gear for your course as per PADI standards.
Additional Training
The majority of students will be able to complete their SCUBA course in the standard allotted amount of time. However, in some cases students may require additional classroom, confined water or open water training dives in order to complete the performance requirements of their course. We do not guarantee certification. Students must meet all performance requirements in order to earn their certification.
Additional Training Costs
Additional training costs are for students who do not pass the final exam or need additional in water training time. Most students do not require additional training. Classroom sessions retaking final exam (1 ½ hours) $60. Confined water training session (2 hours) $150. Beach or lake training dives (per dive) $150. Boat training dives (per trip) $200
Equipment Rental Policy
Scuba Dive It, rents all the major equipment necessary for the class. This includes Mask and Snorkel, Fins, BCD, Regulators and Gauges, Tanks and Weights. Your instructor will teach you how to properly care for your equipment and how to avoid any potential charges for broken, damage or loss equipment. We do not rent thermal protection or booties these are considered personal items. However we do offer these items for sale at a discount to our students.
All equipment will be inspected prior to being issued by the renter/student and the instructor for safety. Once the renter/student accepts the equipment the equipment will be the renter/student’s responsibility until it is returned to the shop.
It is up to the renter/student to return the equipment to the shop in the same condition it was issued. Broken, damaged or lost equipment is the financial responsibility of the renter/student or in the event the renter/student is under the age of 18 the parent or Guardian will be financially responsible for their rental equipment.
Broken, damaged or lost equipment must be paid for in full before continuing any further training or before certification cards are issued. The renter/student or parent or Guardian agrees to pay for the repairing or replacement cost of any damaged equipment.
Credit Card Payment for lost or damaged equipment,
If a credit card is used to pay for damaged or lost equipment, the credit card holder, student, parent or Guardian is personally financially responsible for all fees associated with repairing or replacing the damaged equipment.
If for any reason the credit card company fails to pay SCUBA Dive It (including chargeback’s initiated by the cardholder) for any fees associated with the repairing or replacement of the damaged equipment. The cardholder, student, parent or Guardian will be held financially responsible and agrees to pay in cash for any outstanding fees associated the repairing or replacing of the damaged equipment within 3 business days of notice of nonpayment. Additional rental fees will apply.
Rental Fees and Returning Rental Equipment
Each student, parent or guardian is responsible for returning their rental equipment immediately (same day) after the class ends to avoid additional days of rental fees. Rental equipment must be returned at the end of the day it was rented. In the event of broken damaged or lost equipment the student, parent or guardian must pay the repair or replacement cost immediately (the same day) to avoid additional rental fees. Rental fees will accumulate daily until the damaged or lost equipment is paid for in full. The cost of repairing damaged equipment is based on the cost of parts and labor. The cost of replacing lost equipment will be based on the wholesale cost to replace the item. Rental fees are as follows BCD’s $10 per day, regulators $15 per day, SCUBA tanks $10 per tank per day, mask and snorkel $10 per day, fins $10 per day, weights $10 per day.
Equipment Cleaning
Equipment Cleaning is the responsibility of the renter/student to return the equipment clean. This includes sand and salt water. There is a $45 service charge for equipment that is returned unclean. No exceptions. Just return your equipment clean and in the condition that you originally rented it in and you have no problems
Cleaning Regulators without the Dust Cap in place
If you rinse or submerge your regulator in water without the dust cap in place it will allow water to get into the first stage. This is a serious issue. The regulator must be taken out of service and will need to be clean prior to use again. The service fee for cleaning a wet regulator is $50. No exceptions. Just make sure that you put the dust cap on immediately once your regulator is not on a tank and you have no problems.
Use of personal equipment
All personal equipment being used in any of our scuba diving or snorkeling programs must be up-to-date with servicing and inspection for safety by Scuba Dive It prior to use. No exceptions.
Not all equipment is made Scuba quality; therefore, we do not allow any snorkeling equipment to be used during any scuba diving programs. We do not allow students to use equipment that is unsafe i.e. equipment that is damaged or equipment that does not fit properly. If a student decides to use personal equipment for a training class and that equipment breaks and causes a delay in their training the student will need to pay a rescheduling fee to continue their training.
Arrival and Check in for Training
It is very important to arrive on time for your training to avoid any kind of rescheduling fees.
Students must arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled start time for all classroom sessions, confined water training sessions and 45 minutes for open water Boat training dives to be considered on time. Students arriving late may lose their spot to a standby customer.
Late Arrivals
Failing to arrive and check-in in person at the proper time will be considered a no-show.
It is at the instructor’s discretion whether to let a student continue their course after a late arrival.
SCUBA Dive It and their instructors reserves the right to fill all unclaimed spot within 15 minutes of the start of class or 30 minutes prior to boat dives with standby customers.
If you lose your spot to a standby customer and wish to continue your training you will have to pay a reschedule fee and join the next available class where you left off.
To avoid fees and headaches don’t be late for class or dives.

Special Promotions
All special promotional deals such as Groupon and Living Social require additional equipment or materials, or both to be purchased as part of the deal. Students must purchase from us the required PADI academic materials and safety equipment to qualify for the deal. Please read the fine print on your Groupon or Living Social deal before purchasing it. Any students refusing to purchase from us the necessary equipment or materials listed in their Groupon or Living Social deal will be considered a no-show and will not be able to participate in the class. Standard cancellation policy will apply.
Credit Card Payment
If a credit card is used to pay for a class, classes, the credit card holder, student, parent or Guardian is personally financially responsible for all fees associated with that class, classes. If for any reason the credit card company fails to pay SCUBA Dive It (including chargeback’s initiated by the cardholder) for any fees related to their class, classes including cancellation fees, rescheduling fees or damaged rental equipment. The cardholder, student, parent or Guardian will be held financially responsible for such fees and agrees to pay in cash for any outstanding fees associated with their class, classes within 3 business days of notice of nonpayment. The student, cardholder parent or Guardian completely and fully understands that once a student receives their confirmation email with link to academic materials they are considered an active student. We offer no refunds or store credits if you cancel your class once you are considered an active student. Reschedule a class is free and typically not a problem if it’s done with enough notice. Please refer to our reschedule and cancellation policies for more information.
Voucher Payments for Groupon and Living Social
Customers once you sign up for a class using your Groupon or Living Social voucher your voucher will be redeemed immediately to secure your place in that class. Once your voucher is redeemed there are no refunds or store credits for any reason. So please check the fine print on your Groupon and Living Social deals to make sure you fully understand your responsibilities. You may reschedule if needed however our standard rescheduling policies will apply.
Rescheduling and Cancellation Information
Rescheduling a SCUBA Class
To avoid rescheduling fees you the client must reschedule your SCUBA Class by Phone or E-mail at least 5 days or more prior to the start of the original scheduled class(s). You may only reschedule a class one time for free, after the first reschedule you will be charged a $50 fee per person per class you reschedule on time.
Late rescheduling of any SCUBA class within 4 days, prior to the start of the class and are subject to a $50 per person reschedule fee.
Last chance rescheduling of any SCUBA class within 48 hours prior to the start of the class is subject to a $100 per person reschedule fee.
Note: you will need to pay all rescheduling fees before being rescheduled for any new SCUBA Classes. A student will have 48 hours after missing their class to reschedule it. If a student fails to reschedule their class within 48 hours our standard cancellation policies will apply.
Reschedule policy due to medical
The reschedule policy for courses will be waived if:
1) The injury occurred within 72 hours prior to class
2) We receive a copy of a medical note from a Dr. for treatment
Note: The medical reschedule policy for courses only applies to the injured person only. It does not apply to other people in the group. Standard cancellation and reschedule policies will apply for all other cancellations for that class.
Unreported Pre-Existing Medical Conditions (PADI medical release forms)
If you should show up to any class with any pre-existing medical condition that was not previously reported to us prior to starting your course, your instructor reserves the right to remove you from the class for your safety pending a medical release form from your doctor clearing you to dive.
Important note: If you have answered yes on your medical liability release form you will need a doctor’s clearance submitted on a PADI medical release form before you can begin your course.
If you show up for class with a yes on your medical release form and you do not have a doctor’s clearance submitted on a PADI medical release form you will not be able to continue your class and you will have to pay reschedule fees to continue. Same day rescheduling or no-show

Not showing up for the class at all a (no-show)
Are all subject to a $100 per person rescheduling fee.
Canceling a SCUBA Class
You may cancel your SCUBA class at any time however there are no refunds or store credits of any kind for canceled SCUBA diving classes, PADI academic materials or PADI e-learning courses. Once you have paid for your SCUBA course and you receive your confirmation email with links to the academic materials needed for you to start your course, you are considered an active student and our no refund policy will apply.

Putting Your Training on Hold
Instead of canceling your SCUBA class you may put your training on hold. We will give you up to 12 months to reschedule your class and continue your training at a future date. You must put your training on hold prior to the start of your original class date. This option is not available to students that do not show up for class. There is a $50 fee to put your training on hold.
Weather Cancellations
Our policy at SCUBA Dive It when it comes to adverse weather conditions is always safety first. Unfortunately Mother Nature does not always cooperate with our schedule and sometimes we are forced to reschedule classes for safety reasons. Cancellations due to bad weather or adverse conditions are made by SCUBA Dive It Staff, by facility managers or lifeguards only. In the event of a weather cancellation, SCUBA Dive It will send out an email to all students in the class informing them of the cancellation and providing them with a code to reschedule into the next available class at no charge.
Adverse Ocean Weather Conditions for Dives
High winds, surf, riptide’s, strong currents or limited visibility are considered unsafe environments for open water training dives. If the ocean conditions are unfavorable for diving the day of your open water training dives, Your instructor may need to select an alternative training site to complete your last open water training dives and finish your course on schedule. Students will be required to pay the $15 per person entry fee in the event we must return to Tiger Tail Lake to complete training. If for any reason Tiger Tail Lake is also unavailable due to adverse weather conditions, students will be rescheduled to the next available class at no charge.
If the Lake, Beach or Boat Dives is not canceled by SCUBA Dive It or your instructor and a student does not want to participate and complete their class on schedule for any reason the student will need to pay a reschedule fees to complete their training at a different time. Note: In the event of poor weather conditions, start time, finish times and training sites are subject to change without notice.
Safety
For safety purposes it is always at the Instructor's, Boat Captain or Divemasters discretion to allow a participant to continue with their SCUBA diving program or activities. If a student is removed from a class or activity due to unsafe behavior there are no refunds or credits.
Diver Etiquette
No drugs or alcohol allowed during any activities or events. Improper, rude or violent behavior will not be tolerated and will terminate your activity. also completely understand that if removed from activities for any reason there are no refunds or credits.
I have completely read and fully understand the above terms and conditions for this course. I also completely agree to the cancellation policies and rescheduling policies for this course. By booking this course I accept and agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement.
