At that point you will reach a rise in the reef that goes up to about 12 feet with lots of holes in pockets to explore. Dive Site Information

The Lauderdale by the Sea dive and snorkel site NUESTRA SENORA DE KAPLANO is an artificial reef which was made to look like a Spanish Galion wreck site. The cannons are located right in front of the first sub reefs about 50 yards offshore. If you continue your dive to the east you will come across two more shallow reefs about 150 yards offshore. These dive sites are excellent for photography, beginner and young divers and training.

Our Local Reefs

We are fortunate enough that some of our South Florida beaches have amazing beach dive sites. The shallow dive sites are teeming with tropical fish, turtles and lots of interesting little creatures. Most of these sites can be snorkeled as well. As always for all of our beach dive locations you will need your own dive flag for your group.

Resident Marine Life

The amount of Marine life on our shallow reefs is amazing. It is not uncommon to see large schools of fish swimming by working their way up or down the coast. We also see large schools of small and medium tropical fish, stingray’s large and small, eels, lobsters and the occasional Turtles.
